The month of January is designated as National Poverty in America Awareness Month. More than one in five persons in Southwest Georgia lives below the federal poverty level, and approximately one in three children. Yet poverty is a topic that many prefer not to discuss, much less address. The programs and services provided by our Agency are targeted at helping those who live in poverty attain better lives free from poverty. We ask you to join us in the fight to eradicate poverty and learn more about National Poverty in America Awareness Month by clicking here.
