Housing And Energy
Housing & Energy programs are designed to provide housing repairs with a focus on energy conservation. Reduced energy loss, which yields lower home fuel/utility costs, is achieved by preventing infiltration of the elements through measures such as weather-stripping, insulation, sealing, caulking, and minor home repairs.
Other grant and low/no-interest loan programs are designed to assist with repair of deteriorating housing conditions, including major renovation of homes. All services are dependent on funding source guidelines such as various home ownership requirements and income eligibility.
Funding is provided through Gergia Environmental Finance Authority (GEFA), USDA Rural Housing, and other sources as they become available.
